About me
I'm Jake Arkinstall: Father, Nerd, Welshman, physicist, programmer.
I have a PhD in Nanoscience from Lancaster University, where I explored new ways of relating quantum systems through polynomial relationships, and lead to the first exploration of Square-Root Topological Insulators.
Alongside my PhD studies, I worked at Cambridge Quantum Computing Ltd, implementing trading strategies in C++ based on prototypes developed in python by data scientists. I'm now Head of Software Engineering on the Arrow team at Quantinuum, which resulted from the merger between Cambridge Quantum and Honeywell Quantum. I lead the development, deployment and maintenance of the full AI trading stack.
My main interests include C++ template metaprogramming, hermetic build systems, and dad jokes.
